Both traditional roof blinds and sail blinds are designed to shade your conservatory roof to control heat and glare. However, they do this in very different ways. Traditional blinds have adapted a system designed for vertical window blinds by adding tension chords to hold the blinds. The quality of the material, and hence the life of the product, varies significantly between manufacturers, and the fabrics let in very little light when closed. In comparison, sail blinds were designed for roof applications and developed specifically for residential conservatory roofs.
Our ISX high performance solar control fabric was developed to provide maximum heat and glare control while allowing lots of diffused natural light into the space, and is up to 97% efficient. The fabric is also super durable and machine washable.
